Why It Matters?

Coughs and colds can easily spread in children. Simple routines can easily eliminate the spreading of germs while keeping everyone healthy and in school.

CRÈCHE (3 Months – 18 Months)

ADULTS CARE; BABIES ARE SAFE!

Caregivers wipe noses.

The hands are frequently washed.

Toys and surfaces are sanitized.

Children are pacified and cared for.

 

NURSERY (18 Months – 3 Years

 

Learning with Support:

Use tissues with aid.

cough into the elbow.

Throw used tissues into the bin with a lid.

Wash hands under direction of the teacher with water and soap.

 

  RECEPTION (3 – 5 Years)

 

Healthy habits start.

Cough/Sneeze onto your elbow

Take a tissue for your nose

Put in the recycle bin after use

Wash hands with soap and water

Let the teacher know if you don’t feel well

 

 

LOWER PRIMARY (Years 1 – 3)

Be responsible

Catch it – cover coughs and sneezes

Bin it – throw tissues away

Kill it – Wash hands properly

Do not share cups and/or bottles

 

 

UPPER PRIMARY (4 – 6 Years)

Lead by example
